The commanding officer was Lt-Col. Edgar (Ted) Harold Small who was from Halifax, NS, and commanded the battalion from November, 1940 to April, 1942. He is pictured in the front row, thirteenth from the left. Note the newly acquired battalion vehicles in the background.
