Two Officer Pipers

94th Victoria Regiment "Argyll Highlanders"

Cape Breton, NS

Circa 1916-1918

On the left is Capt. John Lewis MacKinnon from Inverness County, Cape Breton.

On the right is Capt. Angus J. McNeil from Gillis Point, Victoria County, Cape Breton. In the summer of 1918, Capt. McNeil was transferred to "F" Company, 6th Battalion, Canadian Garrison Regiment. He died of the Spanish Flu in North Sydney, NS, on October 7, 1918.

The two men were friends as well as brother officers and pipers.
