Two Officers

25th Battalion (Nova Scotia Rifles)

Circa 1918

From the information written on the back of the postcard, it is believed that one of the men may be Lieut. Reginald Rankin Herman from Lunenburg, NS. He originally enlisted as a private in the 106th Battalion (Nova Scotia Rifles) in March, 1916. While in England, he received his commission as an officer and was transferred between several units before ending up in the 25th Battalion. He served with the 25th Battalion in France and survived the war.
