The three officers on the left are, as follows, left to right:

1. Lieut. Lewis Howard Johnstone from Victoria Mines, Cape Breton, NS. Killed in action in France on October 1, 1916.

2. Major Arthur William Porter Weston from Halifax, NS.

3. Capt. Donald Alexander MacRae from Baddeck River, Victoria County, Cape Breton, NS

Citadel Hill is visible in the background.
