Circa 1915

Shorncliffe Camp was located in Kent, in southern England, and was used as a staging post for troops destined for the Western Front.

On the far left is Pipe Major 46004 Kenneth John MacKenzie Baillie from Pictou County, NS. He was originally from Scotland. He enlisted at the age of 55 and was known to be quite a colourful character. The other men in the photo are not identified.
