Other Rank Cap Badge
112th Battalion (Nova Scotia)
Circa 1915-1917
Pictured above is an example of a one piece other rank cap badge for the 112th Battalion. The badge is hollow backed and appears to be made of a bronze base metal with a pickled coating. There is some green verdigris on the front. There are two horizontal lugs on the back. No manufacturer is identified. The badge measures approximately 40mm wide x 45mm high.

Example 2
Other Rank Cap Badge
112th Battalion (Nova Scotia)
Circa 1915-1917
Pictured above is an example of a one piece other rank cap badge for the 112th Battalion. The badge is solid with a flat back and a slightly scooped out centre, and appears to be made of a brass base metal with a pickled coating. There are two horizontal lugs on the back. No manufacturer is identified. The badge measures approximately 40mm wide x 45mm high. Note that the digits in the 112 are slightly wider than the digits in the badge in Example 1.

Circa 1915-1917
Pictured above is an example of a one piece other rank cap badge for the 112th Battalion. The badge is hollow backed and appears to be made of a brass base metal with a dark finish that gives it a dark brown overall colour. The brass shows though on highlights. There are two horizontal lugs on the back. No manufacturer is identified. The badge measures approximately 40mm wide x 45mm high.

Example 4
Other Rank Cap Badge
112th Battalion (Nova Scotia)
Circa 1915-1917
Pictured above is an example of a one piece other rank cap badge for the 112th Battalion. The badge is solid with a flat back and a slightly scooped out centre, and appears to be made of a brass base metal with a brown finish. There is a pin and catch assembly on the back. Marked on the back is the English manufacturer's name "M S BROWN". The badge measures approximately 40mm wide x 45mm high. Note that the digits in the 112 are slightly wider than the digits in the badges in Examples 1 and 3.
